Introducing Solon: The Lawgiver Behind the Workspace
Solon of Athens (c. 630 - c. 560 BC) was a lawmaker, merchant, and poet, revered as one of the Seven Sages of Greece. He laid the foundational principles of Athenian democracy by replacing the harsh, punitive statutes of Draco with a unified, balanced legal code. His reforms established a structured framework where justice and order applied to all.
When Verantu Labs set out to build a workspace for modern legal work, we chose the name Solon because it represents structured, accessible legal systems. Solon runs locally on your machine, references your files, and provides cited outputs for lawyer review.

The Word Add-in connects directly to the Solon app on your computer. You can draft, redline, and check citations inside Word using your open case files for reference, with one-click insertion.
How does Solon AI access work?+
